Solo una pequeña nota para comenzar el día.Acabo de hacer una pequeña búsqueda del tema oficial del Mundial de Futbol Sudáfrica 2010 y me encontré con un par de cosas interesantes.
La canción oficial es un arreglo del Artista Somalí llamado K'Naan, la canción original se llama "Wavin' Flag", un himno de lucha y que lleva el mensaje al mundo de la batalla que ha librado su pueblo por siglos para obtener lo que llamamos "Libertad"
La canción fue modificada para hacer alusión al juego, pero conserva su esencia:
"Give me freedom, give me fire, give me reason, take me higher" reza el primer verso del arreglo, que no voy a tratar de traducir pues siento que no podre darle el significado que el artista desea transmitir.
Me gusto tanto el arreglo como la canción original. La original habla de la lucha de los jóvenes cuando fueron creciendo, en barrios pobres, luchando contra el hambre y la violencia, viendo con esperanza algún futuro mejor, que, según dice la canción, no está muy lejos.

Luego el artista crea la version del mundial, con su introducción hablando de los campeones entrando al campo y con la celebración mundial alrededor
"Celebration its around us, every nations, all around us".
El ritmo de la canción, por demás pegajoso, y es natural, pues es un ritmo africano, ritmo que por lo menos en nuestro país hemos estado bailando toda una vida.
Celebro que FIFA y el país sede hayan escogido una canción con un mensaje tan profundo e inspirador, un mensaje de libertad, un mensaje de hermandad, de lucha contra el racismo, el prejuicio, la esclavitud y todas esas prácticas rencorosas que por siglos los humanos hemos tenido.
Aplaudo el tema seleccionado y les doy gracias por no haber cometido el error de escoger una canción de reggeton que se rumoraba seria el tema, una canción vacía y sin mensaje.

nada que decir muy buena la cancion, y si estoy de acuerdo trae un mensaje de libertad, de triunfo de un pueblo que se esta leventando de poco a poco gracias muy buena, saludos de PeRú
definitivamente preciosa la cancion, es cierto eso de los rumores q se elejiria un regeton, pero finalmente primó la razon, esta cancion tiene mensaje, mientras q el "papi gringo" lo unico q ofrecia era una basura, de "levanta las manos, toos pa arriba , dale con el flow" y el tipico parloteo sin sentido del regeton.
me gusta la cancion, la he escuchado en todas partes y es pagajosa. A ver si el Dady tiene mas suerte pa la copa de Brasil 2014
excelente la cancion, definitivo la mejor eleccion q pudieron haber hecho, pero cabe señalar la cancion de reggaeton no fue seleccionada no por su vago contenido sino pq el cantante no quiso seder lo derechos, si lo hubiera hecho la historia seria otra y posiblemente no hubieramos disfrutado de esta, solo como nota informativa.
Leyendas antiguas comentan que el espíritu radica en los seres, en los animales y hasta en las bestias.
No soy un consumidor ni interesado en el fútbol ni sus variantes, pero sospecho que esta canción bien podría ser el espíritu de ese coloso y bestial deporte, hay algo trascendente en esta canción que motiva a ver el fútbol pero después de escucharlo.

Me averguenza que salta los waka waka dancers por las noticias y telediarios y una canción con tanto fondo y significado como la de K'Naan ni se mencione...
Como siempre... el capitalismo ejerce!
